Article 1- Name of the Association: “Sustainable Development Association”. The center of the Association is Ankara. The Association may open branches in Turkey and abroad.

Article 2- The Association was established with the aim of working towards sustainable development, lifelong learning, social inclusion and increasing respect for the rights of all living beings, including human beings, in the field of civil society at national and international level, with the perspective of solving the problems of the past without leaving them to the next generation by adopting trusteeship instead of inheritance, planning the life and development of today and the future in a way that will enable the needs of future generations to be met and developed by ensuring the conscious consumption of resources, efforts to increase the level of economic growth and welfare, and efforts to protect the environment and the quality of life of all living things.

Article 3 – In order to enable and realize its activities, the Association may, in accordance with its purpose, work on the following subjects and methods (forms) with the aim of sustainable development in sectors such as education, health, population program, water supply and sanitation, conflict prevention and peaceful policy, transport and storage, communication, environment, energy, finance, business, agriculture, food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, mining, industry, trade, construction, tourism, rural and regional development.

  1. Promoting sustainable development and holistic progress in all human and natural domains by protecting the natural environment through efforts that ensure environmental, economic, and social development. This includes addressing social and economic inequalities in rural, urban, regional, and international contexts, ensuring safe human settlements and environmentally sensitive natural habitats, and enhancing social solidarity and civil society engagement in sustainable development.

  2. Enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals of all ages, including income growth. This is achieved by ensuring gender, opportunity, and access equality as a shared principle between present and future generations, guaranteeing access to healthy living, and ensuring sustainable management practices.

  3. Protecting and empowering disadvantaged groups, including women, children, youth, the elderly, persons with disabilities, the long-term unemployed, refugees/asylum seekers/migrants/nomads/displaced persons, slum dwellers, individuals at risk of poverty, former prisoners or detainees, victims of violence or abuse, substance addicts, working children and their families, single parents, shelter residents, the homeless, seasonal agricultural workers, and others facing discrimination or prejudice in accessing social and economic opportunities.

  4. Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all, providing lifelong learning opportunities, contributing to the development of vocational training, and transforming human capital skills and competencies into added value.

  5. Developing human resources across all sectors, supporting occupational health and safety to establish a culture of decent work, fostering inter-sectoral collaboration, facilitating labor mobility, implementing measures to increase employment, and encouraging entrepreneurship through initiatives such as angel investing and crowdfunding.

  6. Protecting, improving, and supporting environmental and natural systems, ensuring balanced planning and management, prioritizing a low-carbon economy, raising awareness and combating climate change, and providing accessible, reliable, sustainable, and renewable modern energy.

  7. Conserving seas, all water resources, terrestrial ecosystems, and forests, ensuring their restoration and sustainable use, halting biodiversity loss, combating desertification, and preventing soil degradation.

  8. Ensuring sustainable production and consumption, promoting self-sufficiency to meet everyone’s basic needs, eradicating poverty and hunger, improving food security and nutrition, and supporting sustainable agriculture.

  9. Supporting sustainable and inclusive industrialization, the construction of modern infrastructure to meet future generations’ needs, fostering innovation, research and development, technological advancement, and evolution, while enhancing local, regional, and international competitiveness and innovation.

  10. Supporting effective and efficient public administration, enhancing institutional capacity to achieve global sustainable development goals, providing support to all public-private-university and civil society organizations, strengthening local and global partnerships, and promoting effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels.

  11. Ensuring governance, democracy, and human rights principles are accessible for all, facilitating access to justice, promoting social justice, combating discrimination, and fostering social equality, gender equality, equal treatment, and non-discrimination in accordance with the association’s objectives and working methods.

1 – Promoting sustainable development and progress in all areas while preserving the natural environment, ensuring holistic environmental, economic, and social development across all human and natural domains; addressing social and economic inequalities in rural, urban, regional, and international contexts; creating safe human settlements and environmentally friendly natural habitats; fostering social solidarity and enhancing the role of civil society in sustainable development.

2 – Increasing income and improving the well-being and quality of life for individuals of all ages; upholding equality in gender, opportunities, and accessibility as a shared principle between present and future generations; guaranteeing access to a healthy life and sustainable management of resources.

3 – Protecting and empowering disadvantaged groups, including women, children, youth, the elderly, people with disabilities, the long-term unemployed, refugees/asylum seekers/migrants/nomads/displaced persons, residents of informal settlements, individuals at risk of poverty or living in poverty, former prisoners or detainees, victims of violence or abuse, substance dependents, working children and their families, single parents raising children alone, individuals in shelters, the homeless, seasonal agricultural workers, and others facing discrimination or prejudice in accessing social or economic opportunities.

4 – Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all; providing lifelong access to quality education opportunities; contributing to the development of vocational education; and enhancing human capital skills and competencies to create added value.

5 – Developing human resources across all sectors; supporting occupational health and safety; fostering a culture of decent work in all industries and intersectoral collaboration; implementing measures to increase employment by supporting workforce mobility; and encouraging entrepreneurship through angel investment and crowdfunding practices.

6 – Protecting, improving, and supporting environmental and natural systems; ensuring their balanced planning and management; emphasizing a low-carbon economy; raising awareness and mitigating the impacts of climate change; and providing accessible, reliable, sustainable, renewable, and modern energy.

7 – Protecting, restoring, and ensuring the sustainable use of seas, water resources, terrestrial ecosystems, and forests; halting biodiversity loss; combating desertification; and preventing land degradation.

8 – Ensuring self-sufficiency by promoting sustainable production and consumption; addressing fundamental needs to eliminate poverty and hunger; improving food security and nutrition; and supporting sustainable agriculture.

9 – Supporting sustainable and inclusive industrialization, infrastructure development, innovation, research and development, technological advancement, and evolution to meet the needs of future generations; enhancing competitiveness and innovation at local, regional, and international levels.

10 – Strengthening effective and efficient public administration; increasing institutional capacity; supporting public-private-university-civil society collaborations to achieve global sustainable development goals; enhancing the implementation of local and global partnerships; and promoting effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels.

11 – Ensuring accessibility to principles of governance, democracy, and human rights for all; providing access to justice for everyone; addressing social justice and combating discrimination; promoting social equality, gender equality, fair treatment, and non-discrimination in all areas in alignment with the association’s objectives and working methods.

The Association operates in the technical and social fields in Turkey and abroad.
