Project Objectıves
Active Citizens Exploring Culture – ‘ACE Culture’ – aims to extend and develop the competences of educators and other staff such as archivists, artists, museum and heritage specialists.
The aim is to support adult education in Community Learning Environments and to work with local people interested in gaining new skills to influence participation in their communities.
The starting point of the project is examples of the social and educational value of art, culture and heritage. We want to encourage members of the public to participate in their local community as “Mediators” to act as a bridge between the “expert” and the neighborhood.
The project is supported by an online platform that builds on the value of local knowledge and includes rich media artifacts created and curated by local community members. To support this educational process, a set of toolkits will introduce both educators and mediators with training materials.

-Methodology Manual and Implementation Plan for decision makers, trainers and practitioners
-Curriculum and Training Material targeting adult educators and learners
-Two online toolkits targeting field workers and cultural mediators
-Community Curation OER platform where cultural intermediaries can share rich media artifacts and stories created and curated by local community members.
